Join the fun and test your knowledge at the annual CSRC Sputum Bowl! This fast-paced, team-based competition is open to both student and practitioner teams. The student competition takes place at the CSRC State SoCal Conference held in the spring. The practitioner competition takes place at the CSRC NorCal Conference. Compete, connect, and showcase your respiratory care expertise.

Student Division held at the SoCal Conference (for finals) April 29, 2026
To compete in the CSRC Student Sputum Bowl, follow these steps:
- Form Your Team
Teams must consist of 3–4 currently enrolled respiratory care students from the same accredited program.
- Complete the Team Roster Form. Please include your regional contact. Find your regional contact here.

- Compete in the Regional Bowl
Regional competitions determine which teams advance to the State Finals at the CSRC Annual Conference.
- Advance to State Finals
If your team qualifies, you’ll be contacted by your regional rep with next steps, including travel, lodging, and CSRC State Conference registration.

Student Competition State Deadlines:
March 11, 2026 – Registration open for State competition.
March 18, 2026 - Deadline to submit competition registration for State competition
