The Tom Wagner ScholarshipThis Scholarship was established in 2017 by the GBAR to recognize deserving respiratory students in the GBAR. The Scholarship was initially funded by the GBAR Tahoe Committee to honor Tom’s commitment and guidance to the profession and for his co-creation of the Tahoe Conference. Tom and his wife Sue have augmented the Scholarship each year since its establishment. The recipients are selected based on applications and essays by the students submitted to their Program Directors and to the GBAR Student Awards Committee. The financial award of $500 or more for each selected student, is awarded annually at the Tahoe Conference.
Tom Wagner, BS, RRT, RCP, FAARC The Tom Wagner Scholarship was started to honor Tom, who has been a leader in the Respiratory Community on the local, state, and national levels. Tom co-founded the Tahoe Conference in 1978 and has dedicated many years to its continuing success. Each year $2000 is donated and awarded to students from each of the Respiratory Care programs in the GBAR region. |
